Redline gives away one-off pimped up motor at modified car show

Future’s modified car magazine offers classic Renault 5 GT Turbo project as prize

Future’s modified car magazine offers classic Renault 5 GT Turbo project as prize06/04/05 Modified car fanatics from across the UK have a chance to win a piece of motoring history this weekend. Future’s motoring magazine, Redline is giving readers the chance to drive away with its long-serving Renault 5 GT Turbo project at the first major car show of the season.

The car will be up for grabs at the Redline stand at the popular, Ripspeed Donny event. Taking place this weekend, Saturday, April 9th and Sunday, April 10th – 50,000 modified motor fans will descend on Doncaster Racecourse, and will have a chance to win the tweaked vehicle.

First appearing in the UK’s fastest growing modified car magazine, Redline back in 2001, the project car has had an estimated £15k worth of parts and labour spent on it. The motor has been shaped into one of the UK’s finest examples of a modified, rip-snorting 1.4ltr Renault 5 GT Turbo.

Turning heads, the car features a body kit and two-tone colour scheme, as well as a neighbourhood-terrorising exhaust system and purple and white vinyl retrimmed Recaro seats. The project is completed with a specially installed sound system from ICE experts, Huets.

Dan White is Deputy Editor of Redline magazine:

“There will be a tear in our eyes next weekend as we give away our foxy 5. The Redline Renault 5 GT Turbo is a cracking motor, which we’ve built up over the years with some quality modifications. We know that this crowd pleasing, lady-loving two-tone chunk of loveliness will find a new home with a lucky Redline reader at the Donny show.”

The Redline Renault 5 can be seen and won from the Redline Stand at this weekend’s Ripspeed Donny Show, between 10am Saturday and 2.45pm Sunday.
