Future’s Procycling celebrates 10th anniversary with a special issue

Perfect 10 – the 10 stars who will make 2009 the best season ever

Perfect 10 – the 10 stars who will make 2009 the best season everFuture’s Procycling magazine is celebrating 10 years at the top of professional cycling with a special edition, chronicling the changes of the past decade, and looking forward to the future of the sport.

Their biggest ever issue of 188 pages hits the news-stands on 25th March, and is packed with exclusive interviews with the biggest names in the sport, and features looking forward to the stars of professional cycling, as well as a retrospective look at the history of the sport in the last 10 years and 124 issues of the magazine.

In a 100-page feature, Procycling takes a look at the ups and down of professional cycling in the past decade – the races, scandals and personalities who have made the sport what it is, and looking to the future, Procycling also presents the 10 riders they believe will be creating headlines for the next 10 years, such as Mark Cavendish, Tom Boonen, Fabian Cancellara and Alberto Contador.

Lance Armstrong, the sport’s most iconic rider of the last decade, is featured in an in-depth article looking back at the problems that beset him during the most thrilled of his seven Tour de France victories.

Peter Cossins, Editor of Procycling said:

“The last decade has been a rollercoaster ride for the sport and for Procycling. It’s been fascinating looking back a decade to our launch and a point in time when Lance Armstrong hadn’t won a single Tour, let alone seven. But, more than reflecting on past glories, we wanted to look ahead to the riders who will carry the sport forwards in the next ten years, riders like Mark Cavendish who just days ago won Milan-San Remo on his debut in the event.”

Readers of the magazine will also have the chance to celebrate a decade of Procycling in a competition where they can win 10 prizes on the magazine’s 10th birthday. With products from Spiuk, Pearl Izumi, Shimano, Dolan Bikes and Giro, it’s an extravaganza of all things bike related.

Issue 124 of Procycling goes on sale on the 25th March, priced at £3.99.
