Increased appetite for authoritative content signals new look for Future’s T3

Consumer research drives revamp for UK’s premium technology title

25/03/09 – Future, the special-interest media group, has announced a comprehensive redesign and editorial refocus of its technology lifestyle magazine, T3.

T3 is riding high, having recorded its highest-ever circulation in the recent ABCs and is now looking to consolidate its position as the UK’s leading technology lifestyle magazine targetting affluent, informed men with a passion for the latest gadgets and technology.

New consumer research by Future shows that technology opinion formers want more in-depth comment, authoritative editorial and more stylish production values than many of the mainstream gadget titles and weekend supplements provide.

Leaving no page untouched, the new look T3 splits the best new gear into separate sections – covering the latest gadgets and kit for home, work, play and outdoors. T3 also ups its topflight analysis of the gadget industry, with technology superstars like Newsweek’s Dan Lyons contributing to a brand-new monthly column.

The new magazine is also being introduced in all of the 22 territories around the world in which it is licensed. Future is the UK’s biggest licensor of monthly magazines and T3 is the company’s most licensed title.

Nial Ferguson is Publishing Director of Future’s Technology and Entertainment Lifestyle Group said:

“Off the back of our best-ever circulation figures, we’ve made some bold changes to T3 as we look to strengthen our position as the UK’s premium technology lifestyle magazine. Consumer appetites are changing, particularly in an economic climate where people are making more considered decisions about what they spend their money on. Our readers have told us want they want is more in-depth, authoritative editorial. These aren’t tech geeks, they’re affluent, intelligent men who have money to spend on new kit, but want the best, most informed magazine to help them through that buying process. The new look T3 talks directly to this audience.”

The revamped T3 debuts Tuesday, 31st March, with a coverprice of £3.99.
