Total Film scoops Terminator Salvation world exclusive

June issue goes 3D as Future’s film bible champions cinema’s next generation

17/04/09 – Total Film, Future’s fast-growing movie brand gives film lovers a world exclusive look at the summer’s darkest blockbuster, Terminator Salvation and then plunges readers into the third dimension with a special 3D supplement where even the adverts leap off the page!

On sale Thursday, 30th April – the June issue of Total Film offers unrivalled access to the eagerly-awaited Terminator Salvation, which hits UK screens on Friday, 5 June. Total Film delivers exclusive on-set interviews and unseen images, with star Christian Bale discussing the film and for the first-time, his infamous on-set rant which made worldwide headlines when it appeared on YouTube earlier this year.

Total Film’s 24-page 3D supplement comes as the major studios gear up to release over a dozen blockbuster movies in 3D this year. With recent releases like Disney’s Bolt 3D smashing box office records, the June issue of Total Film reveals everything you need to know about the biggest advance in movie technology since the advent of colour film in 1935.

Complete with a pair of 3D specs, the supplement champions forthcoming 3D films like Avatar, Tintin and Pixar’s latest incredible adventure, Up – all due for release before Christmas. With more than thirty 3D images, even the adverts appear in 3D – with 20th Century Fox, Lionsgate, Universal Pictures and ODEON Cinemas all commissioning special 3D creative.

Also inside the June issue, Total Film catches up with Ron Howard, Stellan Skarsgård and Ewan McGregor to find out more about Angels & Demons – the movie sequel to The Da Vinci Code.

Simon Maxwell, Group Publisher of Total Film, said:

“There’s a very exciting year ahead for cinema, with great movies like Terminator Salvation and the whole 3D revolution. Total Film loves movies, celebrating everything that’s exciting – the rich, exciting past and the thrilling, vibrant future.

“Our 3D supplement continues Total Film’s heritage of offering the most innovative creative treatements for major movies and cinema trends. The studios and advertising agencies loved the 3D supplement as there’s no better way of offering film enthusiasts a unique perspective on their brand.”

Future’s continued investment in Total Film sees the brand further increase its reach and influence among movie enthusiasts. Since relaunching in October last year, the TotalFilm.com website has integrated over 9,500 pieces of video across its site and recently enjoyed a 500% increase in page impressions, while its print counterpart has nudged further towards the 90,000 circulation milestone reporting an increase in the latest ABC audit.

The June issue of Total Film, with 3D supplement and glasses, goes on sale Thursday, 30 April with a coverprice of £ 3.90
