Madison sign up after inaugural BikeRadar Live attracts almost 8,500 visitors
Future – the special interest media group, has announced that the UK’s leading distributor of bicycle parts and accessories, Madison have signed up to support the second annual BikeRadar Live event in 2010.
With the dust settling on Future’s first Bikeradar live event held at Donington Park at the end of May – it was universally hailed a success by exhibitors, riders and professional cyclists alike. Attracting 8,472 visitors over the weekend the event has received a great deal of interest and commitment from the cycling industry.
Madison were keen to support the UK’s biggest cycling festival in 2010 and are the first confirmed partner for the second event. Whilst Madison did not to exhibit this year, Will Fripp, Marketing Director of Madison attended the event and was so impressed he immediately voiced his commitment to attend the event next year.
“I was really impressed with BikeRadar Live, a great event with a fantastic atmosphere, one I haven’t experienced at a cycle event for some considerable years. The fantastic mix of cyclists – from roadies and families, through to hardcore off-road riders was brilliant, making BikeRadar Live appeal to enthusiasts and the trade itself.
I spoke to many trade attendees at BikeRadar Live and was really pleased to hear what a great success it had been for them in terms of consumer enquiries and interest experienced. The overall operation was smooth and professional and the team at Future should really be proud of themselves. Madison will be exhibiting at BikeRadar Live next year, with all of our brands represented.”
Simon Wear, Chief Operating Officer at Future said:
“We’re delighted with the response to the event from the bike industry. We believed for some time that there was a need for a true cycling festival in the UK and were impressed with the results at our first attempt.
