Cam Winstanley takes to the saddle for leading cycling portfolio  Future, the special-interest media group, has appointed a new Editor for its professional cycling magazine, Procycling.

Cam Winstanley has been appointed as the new Editor of Procycling, which celebrated ten years of covering the world’s toughest sport earlier this year.

After three years commuting weekly between West Yorkshire and London, Procycling’s outgoing Editor Peter Cossins will continue his 10-year connection to the magazine as a regular freelance contributor, as he launches a bike touring company.

Cam first joined Future in 1993 for the games magazine Amiga Power, was on the launch team for Total Film and spent many years as a freelance editor. Procycling marks his third stint at Future – prior to returning to edit Procycling, Cam worked on a contract magazine for UGC Cinema, launched a puzzle magazine for the BBC has also worked for Rhythm, Future Music and Official Xbox Magazine.

Reporting to Group Publisher, Katherine Raderecht, Cam will be responsible for strengthening Procycling’s brand of opinionated sport writing and ensuring that that magazine’s unrivalled access to the sport’s biggest names is fully exploited.

Cam Winstanley said: “I’m really looking forward to taking Procycling on to even more success and building on the brilliant work done by the team.”
