Crochet Today! hits the UK newsstand as new website rolls out
FuturePlus, the award-winning customer-publishing agency of Future, has announced it is to partner with Coats & Clark – a global leader in yarn, sewing thread and needlecraft products – to relaunch the bi-monthly magazine Crochet Today! and launch a brand new website www.crochettoday.com
Coats & Clark is one of the oldest manufacturers of needlecraft products, home to renowned US brands like Red Heart yarn, Aunt Lydia crochet thread, Anchor floss and Dual Duty thread. In Europe, the company creates Patons and Rowan yarns, as well as Duette thread.
A joint venture between FuturePlus UK and FuturePlus US, the contract for Coats & Clark was won from New York based Soho Publishing. A truly transatlantic partnership, Crochet Today! is produced in Future’s US offices and is now available on subscription in the US and UK as well as on newsstands, with a print run of 120,000 copies.
Crochet Today! began in 2007 as a project driven source of inspiration and information for today’s crochet enthusiast of any skill level. It is a subscription and newsstand-driven magazine published eight times a year in the US and UK with 8 regular issues and 2 newsstand specials, and creates a global offering with a new style of crochet patterns which combine US and European styles.
In conjunction with Crochet Today! FuturePlus has also launched a new website to accompany the magazine – www.crochettoday.com . The website is designed to give crochet lovers access to free crochet projects as well as a place to share their tips, projects and comments about living the crochet lifestyle. The mission of the Crochet Today! site is to support the editorial content of the magazine in the same stylish yet approachable manner, bringing it into line the new brand values of the relaunched magazine.
