BikeRadar Live 2010 signs Madison

Future – the special interest media group, has signed Madison to its forthcoming cycling festival, BikeRadar Live, taking place on the weekend of 10-11 July at Brands Hatch in Kent.

Madison is the UK’s leading distributor of bicycle parts and accessories, as well as the country’s fastest growing motocross and freesports equipment supplier, with key cycling brands including Shimano, Genesis, Cervélo, Commencal, Saracen and Ridgeback. All of these brands will be exhibited and demoed at BikeRadar Live in an exclusive Madison ‘village’.

The big Pan-European Shimano truck will be at BikeRadar Live with a huge Shimano expo, giving festival-goers an exclusive chance to see and try the new Dyna-Sys drivetrain system incorporated into the SLX and Deore XT groupsets. Madison have also hinted about previewing some brand new products, to be confirmed nearer the event.

They will also be sponsoring the bike lock-up area with Kryptonite locks, allowing cyclists to leave their bikes safely locked up during the festival, as well as test out the industry-leading locks.

Madison’s involvement in the show also brings their team of Animal Commencal riders, which includes family mountain biking trio Dan, Rachel and Gee Atherton – winner of the MBUK dual slalom Eliminator race last year.

Although Madison did not exhibit at inaugural event last year, Will Fripp, Marketing Director of Madison attended BikeRadar Live 2009 and was so impressed he immediately voiced his commitment to attend the event this year.

Speaking about Madison’s involvement this year, Will Fripp said:

“We are really excited about BikeRadar Live and we think it promises to be a key and ‘must attend’ cycling event in this year’s calendar.  We will be there this year in force with expo and test bikes from Shimano, Genesis, Cervélo, Commencal, Saracen, Ridgeback as well as a general expo zone showing a selection of products from within the Madison portfolio of brands like Garmin, Giro, Bell, Kryptonite, Elite, Blackburn, DT Swiss and Park Tool – the list goes on!”

Chris Down, Event Director for BikeRadar Live, added:

“We’re delighted that Madison have committed to BikeRadar Live 2010, their enthusiasm and passion for cycling will really add to the feel of the show, not to mention all of the brands that they’ll bring to the Expo area. The fact that they’re bringing their riders to the BikeRadar Live this year will give festival-goers a real treat, we look forward to working with Madison and many other partners this year to make the event even bigger and better.”
