Europe’s biggest and best Ford show celebrates 25 years with new live action arena

Future, the special interest media group and UK’s leading automotive publisher has announced a deal with vehicle market leader Ford, that will strengthen the line-up at Ford Fair, Europe’s biggest and best Ford festival taking place at Silverstone on Sunday 8th August.

Part of Future’s Adrian Flux Auto Event Series, Ford Fair caters for thousands of fans of the marque, and continues to expand year-on-year, with a record 17,695 Ford enthusiasts attending in 2009. 2010 marks the 25th anniversary of the festival itself, as well as 40 years of Ford RS and 25 years of Ford RS Cosworth, so promises to be a spectacular show.

As part of the deal with Ford, the show will feature the Ford Focus RS Live Action Arena which will be featured prominently at the Silverstone site, and will provide a platform for Ford stunt driver Paul Swift to demonstrate his precision driving skills.

As seen at Top Gear Live, Guinness World Records and on Fifth Gear, Paul will be performing his awe-inspiring stunts and tricks throughout the day; with four 30-minute shows which will showcase a variety of stunts including 2-wheel driving, car dancing, high speed precision parking and various anti-hijack techniques.

Paul and his team of precision drivers will be performing in Ford Focus RS, Fiesta Zetec S and Ford Kuga, which will also be on display on the Ford stand throughout the show.

Richard Schofield, Group Publisher for Future’s automotive portfolio said:

“We’re delighted to be working with Ford on Ford Fair; their involvement with the Ford Focus RS Live Action Arena will really add to the excitement and buzz of the show, with Paul Swift giving event-goers a real treat.

The show is a real celebration of all-things Ford, and we’re thrilled that Ford are involved in the show this year; having the marque playing such a pivotal role in the show demonstrates that Ford Fair is the biggest and best Ford festival in Europe.”

Ford Fair also features all-day Ford-only track action, Ford club displays with over 3500 cars, a celebration of 25 years of the Cosworth YB engine, some of Europe’s fastest Fords, and for the first time, Formula Ford will at the show also.
