Future’s T3: iPad Edition launches

Audi and Intel revealed as launch commercial partners. Bespoke digital magazine retails for £3.99 from App Store

15/10/10 – Future, the special-interest media group, has today launched T3: iPad Edition – its first fully bespoke digital magazine for Apple’s tablet.  Available for download from the App Store, the latest T3 brand extension includes Audi and Intel among its launch commercial partners.

As Future’s flagship UK consumer technology brand, with a highly tech-literature audience, T3 is the logical choice for the company’s first paid-for digital magazine.  Future is the UK’s leading consumer electronics publisher and T3 is one of its biggest brands – with 23 international print editions, the T3.com website which attracts nearly 700,000 unique users a month and live events, including the annual T3 Gadget Awards.

Available now from the Apple App Store, T3: iPad Edition costs £3.99 per issue.  The print edition of T3 retails at £4.25 in the UK.

T3: iPad Edition brings the UK’s premium technology magazine to life in a unique and interactive way. iPad users will be able to interact with T3’s award-winning design and photography, viewing the latest and best consumer technology through exclusive video, 360 degree animation, multi-layered feature content and galleries.

The iPad edition launches with commercial partners Audi and Intel who feature with creative campaigns which showcase their products. In a deal brokered by MediaCom, Audi promotes the launch of its premium compact car, the A1.  Intel, through OMD UK has created a fully-interactive bespoke advertising campaign which showcases its latest range of i3, i5 and i7 computer processors.

Nial Ferguson, Publishing Director for Future’s Entertainment & Tech Lifestyle portfolios, said:

“We are delighted to have the support of Audi and Intel for the launch of T3: iPad Edition. In all of our research, consumers responded very positively to both the enhanced editorial content and the highly interactive advertisements.  We are very excited about this launch, not just because we are the first UK magazine to market, but also because of the commercial possibilities that it opens up.”
