New roles support extension of Future’s digital strategy
10/01/11 – Future, the special-interest media group has announced a raft of new appointments to its Digital teams, in support of the extension of its growing digital strategy.
As part of the Digital Marketing team, James Morell has been promoted to the role of Digital Marketing Manager. Moving from his previous role as Affiliate Manager, he replaces Jessica Healy who has returned to New Zealand.
As head of a digital marketing team of four, James will be tasked with promoting best practice in SEO on Future’s websites, ensuring that the sites continue to rank strongly for search on all key indexes. James and team will also be championing the greater prominence of Future brands on social media platforms and on driving increased affiliate revenues for the digital business.
James Morrell, Digital Marketing Manager said:

In addition, Sarah Bennett has been appointed as Head of the Digital Advertising Operations team. Sarah joins Future from Trinity Mirror where she ran the Ad Ops teams for the regional titles. Based in Future’s London office, Sarah will be tasked with working closely with the Ad Ops and Sales teams in both Bath and London.

In parallel, Nathan Girvan has been promoted to the new role of Deputy Ad Ops Manager, and Fabio Zancani and Priya Patel appointed as senior traffickers. Starting with immediate effect, James and Sarah will both report to Future’s Digital Director Richard Foster.
