Future’s Your Family Tree celebrates 100 issues with exclusive collector’s edition

Future, the special interest media-group and UK’s leading hobbies and craft publisher is celebrating the 100th issue of Your Family Tree, the UK’s best-selling genealogy magazine.

The 100th issue of Your Family Tree goes on sale on 1st February; packaged in a card wallet the collector’s edition of the magazine will feature a bumper selection of five gifts. The gifts will include five exclusive collector’s prints of images from 1911, a Your Family Tree mousemat, a 44-page Society of Genealogists magazine, a free 1911 Census search for every reader and a software-packed CD including a PDF of the very first issue of the magazine.

Inside the magazine readers will find a celebration of the Your Family Tree over the past 100 issues, with features looking at the history of the magazine, as well as contributions from previous editors, a feature on how the magazine launched and the very first issue itself on the CD.

The magazine team will also be holding a celebratory birthday party at Who Do You Think You Are? Live on February 25th, 26th & 27th; as well as enjoying a slice of birthday cake there will be expert genealogists on hand to answer reader’s questions.

2011 also sees the centenary anniversary of the 1911 Census, which will be covered in the expanded feature section. There are specially commissioned features showing readers how to get the most from the 1911 Census, as well as a special military section how reading how to trace their forebears who may have been overseas or at war, as well as a rich photography feature packed with images from 1911.
