Ever thought ‘There isn’t an app for that’?

Got a fantastic idea for an iPhone game but not the know-how to build one? Here’s a chance to get the hard work done for you.

MacFormat and Tap! magazines have teamed up with successful iPhone game developer Neon Play to make one would-be digital entrepreneur’s dream a reality.

No technical or even artistic skill is necessary – simply find the entry form in the latest issues of MacFormat and Tap! (or download it from http://bit.ly/hU7Y1S) and jot down your idea for an iPhone game using the supplied templates.

A panel of experts will pick the best one, then Neon Play will create the game itself and get it on sale in the App Store. 25% of any profit made from the app will be passed on to the winner.

Home to more than 350,000 apps, Apple’s online marketplace has already made many people into “App Store Millionaires”. Runaway successes include Angry Birds, the game which has sold more than 12 million copies since launching little over a year ago.

Graham Barlow, Editor-in-Chief of MacFormat and Tap! says: “There are lots of people out there without the programming skills who have great ideas for iPhone games, and with the assistance of Neon Play, we’re going to help them realise their dreams.“

MacFormat issue 232 is on sale now. Tap! issue 3 is on sale on Thursday, March 10.
