Future, the special-interest media group and UK’s number one magazine licensor, has announced the launch of a new international digital syndication service which will make packages of Future web content available to publishers worldwide.
The new service is aimed primarily at online businesses such as publishers, portals, retailers and manufacturers who are building niche verticals around hobbies and leisure interests as a way of generating advertising and e-commerce revenues.
Future publishes over 80 magazines, and over 50 websites on topics ranging from technology, video games and cars through to cycling, music and knitting. Future currently offers ongoing provision of content from websites across the portfolio including techradar.com, bikeradar.com, cyclingnews.com, musicradar.com, cvg.co.uk, gamesradar.com, photoradar.com and totalfilm.com.
Tim Hudson, Future’s International Licensing Director, said:
“Future already produces high-quality expert content around a wide range of activities and can offer ready-made digital packages, including text, pictures and video, to publishers who are looking for precisely this kind of material to build out their websites.
The huge growth in traffic to Future’s websites across the portfolio (which now reaches over 23 million unique users a month), and the sheer quantity and quality of our digital content means we have a compelling syndication proposition for other media owners, retailers and manufacturers across a wide variety of sectors.
We offer both content and expertise, as one of the world’s leading digital publishers, and can offer particularly valuable insights from our success in building commercially successful products for the iPad and other tablets.”
Future International Licensing has also announced a new partnership with the German content agency Contilla (www.contilla.de) . Through Contilla, Future International Licensing is now syndicating a daily selection of the latest technology news from TechRadar.com to appear on Europe’s leading web-to-print portal www.Print24.com.
