Future’s Cyclingnews.com releases new version of iPhone app

Future’s Cyclingnews.com has released a brand new version of its iPhone app following the success of version 1 of the app; offering the very best news, reviews, pictures and blogs from the world’s number one cycling website.

The free app was first released in December last year, and has since garnered 29,000 global downloads (according to iTunes). A brand new enhanced version of the app is available now for the iPhone and iPad, in time to tie in with the Giro D’Italia on 8th May.

Available now from iTunes, the new version of the free app from Cyclingnews.com app brings up-to-the-minute news direct to iPhone and iPad users. One of the new developments with the app is the inclusion of race reports, which was driven by user-feedback regarding the app.

Users can enjoy iconic images of riders and races direct from the Cyclingnews.com galleries, as well as all of the latest features and tech stories from around the world. The app also includes big-name rider blogs, bringing you all the behind the scenes action from the world’s toughest sport.

Since its inception in 1995, Cyclingnews.com has grown to become the world’s largest cycling website. The site is the passionate cycling fan’s first port of call for news, race results, tech, live race coverage, race photography, interviews, features, diaries, video content, fitness and forums.

Mark Cantwell, Digital Associate Publisher for Future’s sports portfolio said:

“We initially soft launched the application to let the loyal Cyclingnews users play around with it and feed back their requirements to us.  That feedback was fairly unanimous – “Love the app, but where are the race reports?”  So that’s what we’ve added.  We believe in user-driven development and will continue to refine and reshape all elements of Cyclingnews.com to satisfy the needs of our global audience.”
