MollieMakes – the latest magazine launch from Future, the UK’s leading craft publisher – hits news stands on Thursday 12th May.
MollieMakes is a fresh, new craft and lifestyle title aimed at a young generation of crafters who are part of a vast online community connected through websites and blogs.
The new 100-page magazine will provide readers with contemporary projects in a beautiful and inspiring environment. With the tagline of “Living & Loving Handmade”, MollieMakes is not just a traditional craft project-book, but a magazine which celebrates craft as a part of life. It curates the best contemporary craft content from around the world into a beautiful, collectable, unique and totally irresistible magazine based around the premise that if a thing is worth making, it’s worth making beautifully.
The first issue of the magazine will feature a covermounted kit to make a felt smart-phone case, as well as tutorials on making crochet apple cosies, bobble-trim skirts, fabric bunting, pocket Chihuahuas and the latest high street trends: ruffles and Peter Pan collars.
Features include sneaking a look inside vintage-inspired homes, an interview with top craft blogger Dottie Angel and the ultimate stylist’s guide to throwing your dream summer party. There’s a visit to an eye-candy craft boutique in Barcelona, reviews of some of the latest crafty-interiors books and top tips on how to sell your craft goods online on Etsy, the world’s most vibrant handmade marketplace.
Janet Meadowcroft, Editor-in-Chief for MollieMakes said:
