iCAR parks first issue at newsstand this week

iCAR – the latest magazine launch from Future, the special-interest media group and UK’s best selling publisher across the performance car market – hits newsstands on Wednesday 18th May.

As the voice of a new generation of efficient, technologically advanced and desirable cars, iCAR’s mandate is to inform and excite consumers about this new breed of vehicle; inspiring them to purchase cars that are designed to be more efficient, intelligent and fun to own.

iCAR is the authoritative magazine on great automotive design, cutting-edge technology and environmentally sustainable transport solutions.

The automotive industry is experiencing an unprecedented explosion of innovation. Hybrid, range extender, pure electric, and refined internal combustion engines – everywhere you look, manufacturers are tearing up to conventional car rule book to create something smarter, more efficient, and more pleasurable to use. While traditional media is uneasy about modern motoring trends, iCAR embraces the shift in technology, is set to drive the motoring revolution and is the definitive guide to more efficient motoring.

The first issue of iCAR features in-depth editorial investigating the truth about electric cars, revealing the benefits of in-car apps, testing the two heavyweight technologies (diesel vs hybrid) head to head, and highlighting what it’s like to live with Nissan’s revolutionary electric Leaf. It also proves the internal combustion engine is not dead, with a group test of cars that deliver more fun for less fuel.

Jeremy Laird, editor of iCAR, says:

“Traditional motoring media are obsessed with power sliding supercars or rating hatchbacks on steering feel while ignoring important in-car features and merely paying lip service to fuel efficiency. But iCAR embraces the new generation of efficient, technologically advanced and connected cars. It’s the only magazine for the modern car buyer.”

On sale on 18th May, iCAR will be a quarterly publication; it will run at 132 pages priced at £4.99. It will also be available via the Zinio platform for tablets and iPads. Visit  www.myfavouritemagazines.co.uk/icar/ for more information.
