Future names Head of Video Production – Games

Future, the UK’s leading games media group, has today announced the appointment of David Boddington as Head of Video Production – Games.

David is promoted into this newly-created role, with responsibility for overseeing production of video across Future’s market-leading Games portfolio. He takes up the position with immediate effect.

The appointment signals a significant increase in video production from Future’s Entertainment division.

David joined Future in December 2008 as Producer of FirstPlay, Europe’s first on-console, interactive show. He has a wealth of invaluable talent and experience, having previously worked for the likes of Sky, Endemol and the Discovery Channel.

David says: “Future has always been at the cutting edge of games media, and I’m very excited by the challenge of producing the highest quality editorial video, and delivering something extra to gamers everywhere.”

Entertainment Group Publisher Simon Maxwell says: “David’s work on FirstPlay speaks for itself and he was the outstanding candidate for this crucially important role. His focus will be on driving excellence and increasing output across the portfolio, heading up a best-in-show video production unit that delivers fantastic quality for Future as well as our partners and clients.”
