Practical Photoshop gets creative at newsstand this week

Practical Photoshop – the latest launch from Future, the special-interest media group – hits newsstands this Thursday 2nd June.

Long the professional’s choice of image-editing software, Adobe Photoshop is now accessible to everyone – and on millions of computers and mobile devices across the world.

Practical Photoshop is the definitive Photoshop companion. It gives Photoshop users of all skill levels the techniques and advice to fulfil their creative ambitions, demystifying the process of improving digital images. Creating sensational imagery from scratch is made simple by its no-nonsense and engaging approach.

Ben Brain, Editor says: “Image manipulation is no longer the preserve of professionals so we’ve created this magazine for photography enthusiasts and computer users of all ages who want to unleash their creativity.

“We’re the only title that delivers high-res video tutorials for every one of the techniques in the magazine through our unique free DVD. And as well as our smart talking and easy-to-follow tutorials we will also inspire our readers through our stunning galleries and expert insight.”

From the makers of Digital Camera and Computer Arts, Practical Photoshop delivers 116 pages of advice, projects and inspiring images every month. It’s the only Photoshop title with a covermounted DVD, each one crammed with more than three hours of in-depth video tutorials.

Issue one includes a feature showing readers how to improve just about any photograph, as well as tutorials revealing how to turn photos into simulated oil paintings and film posters.

Regular sections include the beginner-focused ‘Essentials’, which will get new Photoshop users up and running in no time, and the 16-page creative manual ‘Genius’, bursting with quick tips and techniques. A panel of Photoshop experts is on hand every issue to share insight, answer questions and provide feedback on readers’ images.

Also launching on Thursday 2nd June is Practical Photoshop’s website www.practicalphotoshopmag.com, a community hub for creative Photoshop users that’s fully integrated with social media including Facebook, Twitter and Flickr.

The first issue of Practical Photoshop goes on sale on 2nd June, priced at £5.99 and includes an accompanying DVD with 18 video lessons covering the tutorials in the magazine. A digital edition of the title is also available via Zinio.com. For more information, visit: www.practicalphotoshopmag.com. To see a digital sampler of the magazine, visit http://bit.ly/lCJX0D
