FuturePlus announces partnership with photographic giant Jessops

17/06/11 FuturePlus, the award-winning customer publishing agency of special-interest media group, Future, has been commissioned by high-street photographic chain Jessops to publish its entirely new concept external magazine.

FuturePlus is producing 37 bespoke magazine pages to integrate within the Jessops quarterly catalogue. Circulated free to 150,000 online and retail customers, the catalogue will be available in-store from 7th July and can also be mailed out via online request.

Drawing on the skills and experience of Future − one of the UK’s top magazine publishers, with a market-leading position in the technology sector − FuturePlus will work in partnership with Jessops to produce premium, bespoke content including new product reviews, trends in photography and tips from professional photographers.

Special focus will be given to a section on readers’ photographs – highlighting the talent of Jessops customers and for the first time, inviting them to share their passion for photography through their own images. These tips and advice are part of Jessops’ commitment to deliver “Advice for Life” for its customers.

Aimed at enhancing the customer experience and promoting loyalty, Jessops will be positioned as a photographic retailer rather than just a camera shop. The magazine content will be edited by Lee Hart, an experienced Senior Editor who has worked at FuturePlus for 3 years. Building on his vast knowledge of the sector, Lee will lead the team in producing targeted and insightful content to demonstrate the enduring passion for photography at Jessops.

Jessops is the UK’s largest photographic retailer, operating over 200 stores, an online shop and a customer support centre. The in-store catalogue will showcase Jessops high quality products and services, include advice to help customers find the right equipment for them, and help maintain Jessops’ position as the market leading store.

Sean Emmett, Marketing and Ecommerce Director of Jessops, says: “Together with FuturePlus we have worked on a fantastic publication that is free to our customer. Jessops now offers a complete photographic experience and the magazine plays an important role in this, showcasing our products and offering tips and advice for top photographers and equipment experts”

Jayne Caple, Director of FuturePlus UK, says: “We are really excited to have won this contract and be working with Jessops on their new catalogue magazine. At FuturePlus we’re constantly striving to strengthen our portfolio and build on our position as a leading customer publisher. Jessops is a key addition to our client base and we are proud to be their publisher of choice.”
