Future appoints UK Head of Ad Operations

29/06/11 - Future, the special-interest media group, today announces the appointment of Neil Perera as UK Head of Ad Operations.

As Head of Ad Operations, Neil will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of ad campaigns, designing and documenting the processes for both advertisers and publishers.

Based in Future’s London office, Neil will be tasked with working closely with the Ad Ops and Sales teams in both Bath and London.

Neil joins Future from BSkyB where he was Ad Products Manager for Sky’s Digital Media team. Prior to that he worked at News Limited in Sydney, Australia for four years, rising to Technical Product Manager in the Digital Media division.

In May, Future reported advertising revenue growth ahead of the market for the first six months of 2011 and this month walked away with the two top prizes at the Association of Online Publishers Awards: Best Digital Publisher – Consumer and the Grand Prix Award.

Digital Commercial Director Kurt Edwards says: “Future’s online advertising has had a very strong start to this year and we have a number of powerful digital assets, including techradar.com, CVG.co.uk and cyclingnews.com. I’m delighted that Neil is joining Future at this exciting time and am confident his leadership will enable us to meet our partners’ needs more creatively and efficiently.”

Neil adds: “The recent AOP awards are proof that the company is one of the most advanced digital publishers around so I’m thrilled to be joining such a strong team. I look forward to helping the business provide our digital advertising and commercial partners with even higher levels of service.”

Neil starts immediately and reports directly in to Kurt Edwards.
