TRAX announces special guest

TRAX, the UK’s ultimate event for drivers and fans of performance cars, has announced that the former Stig, Ben Collins, will be a special guest at this year’s event.

Taking place on Sunday 4th September at the famous Silverstone Circuit, TRAX, which has been running for over 20 years, is a magnet for the world’s finest drivers and fastest cars.

This year’s event showcases special guest Ben Collins who will be hosting the Live Action Arena, performing demos on the track, and taking part in special autograph sessions.

Taking centre stage and drawing on his 8 years’ experience racing as the Stig, Ben will show off his flawless driving skills and entertain crowds with his high octane performances.

In addition to the former Stig, TRAX will also host a headline performance from special guest Terry Grant. Fifteen times World Record holder, Terry is famous for his impressive stunt shows. Up and coming professional racing driver, Jade Paveley, will also be performing at the event.

History will be made at TRAX this year as for the first time ever the Maxxis British Drift Championship will join forces with TRAX to bring Super-Pro drifting to Silverstone. Other highlights will include non-stop action on the Grand Prix circuit, a special appearance on the track from American Formula Drift super-stars Fredric Aasbo and Darren McNamara and 0-60 sprint testing. For the die-hard F1 fans, the Total Film Cinema Pit Garage will be screening ‘Fast and Furious 5’ and ‘Senna’, the critically-acclaimed biography of the late grand prix driver.

Richard Schofield, Group Publishing Director for Future’s Automotive portfolio, says: “We’re really excited about having Ben along to this year’s TRAX event. Ben is the ultimate driving celebrity and this will be a real treat for all those coming along to Silverstone for TRAX.”
