Ford Focus drives the T3 Gadget Awards 2011

07/10/11 – Future, the special-interest media group, is delighted to confirm the all-new Ford Focus as the headline partner of this year’s T3 Gadget Awards.

Already the globe’s biggest technology awards, the T3 Gadget Awards have been made even bigger and better with the addition of Ford Focus to the line-up.

As a celebration of the best and most ground-breaking technology of today, as well as the innovation of tomorrow, the T3 Gadget Awards are the perfect fit for this technologically advanced car.

A special Ford hub on the awards site looks at the intuitive technologies and precision-engineering within the new Focus, including Active Park Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition.

At the ceremony itself, Ford’s Marketing Director, Anthony Ireson, will be presenting the prestigious Gadget of the Year award. As well as inviting five competition winners to attend the glitzy event, there will be a competition on the night where guests can win a boot-full of the latest gadgets, courtesy of the new Focus.

The results of the 2011 T3 Gadget Awards are eagerly awaited following a year of record-breaking voting, with more than 970,000 votes cast.  Winners are announced on Monday 10th October.

Nial Ferguson, Group Publishing Director of Future’s Technology portfolio, says: “This is the T3 Gadget Awards’ biggest year to date so we’re excited to be working with a company as successful and high-profile as Ford. Its reputation for technological innovation and performance makes it the ideal partner for the awards.”

Anthony Ireson, Marketing Director of Ford of Britain says: “We’re really excited about partnering with the T3 Gadget Awards. The new Ford Focus is packed with the latest technologies and we believe that by partnering with T3, the UK’s biggest gadgets media brand, we have a fantastic opportunity to communicate Ford’s technology credentials to an engaged audience, in interesting ways.”
