Future reveals new launch N-Photo

12/10/11 – Future, the special-interest media group, today announces N-Photo – the only magazine dedicated to Nikon photography.

Launching on 24th November in print and digital form, N-Photo shows Nikon owners of all skill levels how to get the most from their digital camera and take their best-ever pictures.

Each monthly issue contains practical, hands-on advice showing readers how to create great images. Unlike in other photography magazines, this is tailored specifically to Nikon users.

There’s also insight from Nikon-using professionals, hundreds of inspirational images, and in-depth gear reviews which ensure Nikon and Nikon-compatible kit can be bought with confidence. Step-by-step tutorials guide readers through a creative project every inch of the way, and the exclusive ‘Nikopedia’ section is an invaluable reference section no Nikon owner should be without.

At the heart of every issue is the free high-quality coverdisc, featuring unique video tuition linked to features in the magazine – covering shooting skills, photo editing techniques, gear reviews and much more.

Chris George, Editor of N-Photo, says: “Photographers are passionate about the camera system that they use – and they love brand-specific advice. N-Photo is 100% Nikon and 100% independent, giving Nikon users no-nonsense, step-by-step advice – to help them take better pictures and buy the best kit.”

The launch of N-Photo follows the success of the Canon-specific title PhotoPlus, meaning Future now provides titles for both dominant camera brands. N-Photo joins Future’s vibrant Digital Creative portfolio, which also includes market-leading photography magazine Digital Camera and recent launch Practical Photoshop.

Nikon has a prestigious heritage in the camera market and its sales are on the increase, with more than 14 million digital SLRs sold in the financial year to March 2011. Nikon has also recently announced its first compact system camera series. It’s the perfect time to launch N-Photo, the only magazine devoted exclusively to Nikon.

Matthew Pierce, Group Publisher of Future’s Digital Creative portfolio, says:

“Future has a peerless understanding of this sector, and a proven track record of success. Digital Camera is the UK’s best-selling newsstand photography magazine, and PhotoPlus has underlined how readers love the specialist focus of a manufacturer-specific title.

“Nikon continues to enjoy impressive growth, and has a very large, loyal following. Launching a Nikon-specific title now makes perfect sense, and N-Photo’s editorial package offers Nikon users a truly unique, tailor-made experience.”

The first issue of N-Photo goes on sale on 24th November, priced at £4.99 and including a covermounted video disc. To order visit www.myfavouritemagazines.co.uk. Digital editions will be available via Zinio at www.zinio.com/nphoto and on the Apple Newsstand. The N-Photo website is launching soon at www.nphotomag.com.
