Pollyanna Woodward is ringmaster as T3 celebrates the year in tech

8/12/11 – Roll up, roll up – the Pollyanna Woodward circus comes to town today as T3 and the Gadget Show presenter tackle the biggest tech stories of 2011 in a very special Big Top.

Usually found testing the latest and greatest gadgets on Channel 5, Polly takes on lions, knife-throwers and more in this exclusive T3 look at a memorable year in tech.

Polly was a big hit at this year’s T3 Gadget Awards, the world’s biggest technology awards, finishing runner-up to Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg in the Gadget Personality of the Year category.

And the former Miss England and Popstars: The Rivals has already guaranteed a few votes in next year’s competition by becoming T3’s first ever celebrity cover star on the latest issue, out today – and giving her pictorial verdict on some of 2011’s biggest stories.

Polly on Apple: “Steve Jobs’ passing poses the question: what will Apple do now? Will it continue to thrive, or is this where we’ll start to see cracks appearing in the mega brand?”

Polly on BlackBerry: “BlackBerry’s outage left people in their masses struggling to keep in contact – definitely not good for business.”

Polly on the tablet wars: “Apple has dominated the market for so long, but now in the Kindle Fire we’ve got a slate that can not only be instantly loaded with loads of cool content from Amazon’s digital catalogue, but costs about half the price of the iPad, too.”

Polly on motion control: “Playing with PlayStation Move and Xbox Kinect for the first time, I realised how this technology could change the world. The thought of Microsoft developing its Kinect technology for use in other home gadgets is an amazing concept.”

Luke Peters, Editor of T3 says: “Pollyanna ticked all of the right boxes to appear as T3’s first ever celebrity cover star. Her top stories for the year were integrated into a stunning photoshoot that captured the circus-like nature of tech in 2011.”

T3 issue 198 is on sale now priced at £4.25. An annual subscription (covering both print and iPad editions) currently costs just £27.49 – visit My Favourite Magazines. For more from T3 visit www.t3.com.
