Rebooted TotalFilm.com doubles traffic

New-look site exceeds two million global page impressions in a single day

09/12/11TotalFilm.com, the modern movie site for film fans, today reveals the phenomenal success of its new-look website, which was relaunched last month.

With video now firmly at the heart of the site’s editorial proposition, video views have increased by over 700% month-on-month*, and page impressions have more than doubled year-on-year, reaching over two million globally in a single day**.

TotalFilm.com’s redesign has hugely improved the user experience for the ever-increasing audience, with clearer sections, new fonts and a fresh, clean layout. The drop-down video bar on every landing page shows trailers, clips and interviews, inviting users to scroll through the most popular items above the main page content.

Sharing articles through social media channels is now even more accessible with social networks fully integrated across every page. Total Film has over 108,000 Facebook fans, a following of over 70,000 people on Twitter and almost 46,000 Tumblr followers, all helping to drive even more traffic to the new site.

Clair Porteous, Group Publisher for Future’s Film portfolio says:

“The new TotalFilm.com has been a great success since the relaunch and the trends are still increasing. The huge rise in traffic is proof that users find the site easy to browse. Whether it is news, reviews, features or video that they prefer, they can get involved in the debate and share articles effortlessly.

For the advertiser, we can offer creative solutions with video, bespoke adverts and high traffic channels that are truly best-in-market. Total Film is really leading the way, establishing an incredibly valuable audience of engaged and influential 18-30 year-old film fans.”
