15/12/11 Future Publishing, the special interest media group, has announced the appointment of Nathan Forbes to the position of North American Sales Director for its market-leading Sports portfolio.
With over ten years’ experience in the bike industry, Nathan joins Future from VeloNews where he held the position of Magazine Advertising Director working across titles such as Triathlete and Inside Triathlon.
A strong addition to Future, Nathan will be leading the North American Sales team with responsibility for sales of Cyclingnews.com, BikeRadar.com and Procycling magazine in the North American market. Nathan begins his new role immediately in time for the busy Christmas period
Reporting to Scott Longstaff, Commercial Director for the Sports portfolio, Nathan is replacing Steve Medcroft whose work over the past ten years has been integral to making Cyclingnews the brand and advertising vehicle it is today.
On his new position, Nathan says: “I am very excited to have the opportunity to join such a talented group of people. The Future media portfolio is second to none and expanding the reach of those products in North America will be my main focus. I am very pleased to have this new challenge while remaining in the industry that I love.”
Scott Longstaff says: “Nathan has great experience, and a great record of building successful relationships in the bike market. He’s innovative and consultative and so a perfect match for us. We’re committed to expanding our business in North America and Nathan is the perfect candidate to help us drive this forward.
