Future’s Sports Portfolio Announces Strong New Media Partnership

7/3/12 With a big year ahead for British sports, specialist media group Future Publishing has just announced a high profile partnership between its thriving sports portfolio and UK Cycling Events, Britain’s dedicated sporting events organiser.

Consisting of market-leading titles such as Cycling Plus, Procycling, Bikeradar.com and Cyclingnews.com, Future’s sports division now reaches 4.8 million customers online each month, making it the perfect platform to promote UK Cycling Events’ competitions.

Joining forces on a whole series of different events, Future is supporting the cycling industry and is on board as the chief media partner to offer high profile coverage.

As the organiser of some of the best sporting events in Britain, including the Wiggle Super Series, UK Cycling Events host mixture of road and mountain bike events throughout the year. Future is the media partner for all 30 events in 2012, which kick off on 11th March in Storrington and end with the Wight Winter Sportive in Yarmouth on 2nd December.

Richard Schofield, Publishing Director of Future’s Sports portfolio, says: “With the Olympics just around the corner there’s so much buzz around cycling and triathlons, and participation in sporting events is set to rise this year. We’re delighted to be the media partner for UK Cycling Events as we share their ethos and passion for sport, and our readers will be highly engaged with the events they organise. I’m confident this partnership will prove to be strong, dynamic and hope it will last well into the future.”

Talking of their partnership with Future, Martin Barden, Director of UK Cycling Events, says: “Future’s content reaches millions of sports fans each month and we’re delighted they’re on board as the media sponsor this year. We’re gearing up for an action packed year in 2012, and working with Future we anticipate more interest that ever in our exciting event schedule.”
