Record-Breaking Traffic For Future Publishing’s Coverage of New iPad

09/03/12 Future Publishing’s Technology Portfolio delivered a record breaking 1.2 million unique users in 24 hours for the first time ever, with its coverage of the new iPad.

TechRadar.com, T3.com and Gizmodo UK proved to be the most trusted destinations for tech enthusiasts, with over 1.2 million unique users descending on the sites to find out everything about the new iPad’s technology.

With teams working through the night to produce live blogs, hands on reviews, informative videos and ‘all you need to know’ guides, the record-breaking traffic demonstrates Future Technology’s unrivalled ability to reach consumers during the technology calendars biggest events.

T3.com, Future’s leading technology lifestyle website, incredibly produced six videos during the night, ranging from a comparison of the new iPad vs iPad 2 to examples of the new iPad in action. The UK’s number one consumer technology site, TechRadar.com proudly outranked Apple itself for the majority of the evening in Google for the search term ‘new iPad’, whilst Gizmodo UK got users talking with their engaging and topical debates.

Future’s Technology Publisher, Nick Merritt says: “We’ve had teams working around the clock to deliver the definitive iPad coverage so it’s incredibly rewarding to see how the audience has responded, with amazing traffic levels of over 1.2 million unique users across our three sites. It underpins the fact that nobody else in the country reaches tech audiences like we do.”

Future Publishing’s market-leading MacFormat and Tap! magazines also worked through the night to launch a free app, built using Future’s very own FutureFolio platform. The app, which was unveiled yesterday, offers users an exciting experience using video, searchable text and interactive images to guide them through the features of the new iPad.
