T3 Double Triumph At The PPA Awards!

FUTURE BRAND WINS INTERNATIONAL AND DIGITAL PRODUCT ACCOLADES

21/06/12 T3 was twice victorious last night (20th June) at the prestigious PPA Awards, winning Digital Product Of The Year for their tablet edition, and International Consumer Magazine Of The Year.

T3 beat out competition from Time Out, Lonely Planet and Top Gear in the International category and triumphed over brands including Digital Spy, Shortlist and Sport to walk away with the Digital prize. The wins demonstrate T3’s position at the forefront of cutting edge technology and publishing developments internationally.

Taking place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s Park Lane, the evening’s gala dinner is seen by many as the Oscar’s of the publishing world. T3 was shortlisted for an incredible six awards, proving what a superlative year it has been for the brand.

T3 was also shortlisted in the following categories:

  • Publisher of the Year – Nial Ferguson
  • Editor of the Year – Luke Peters
  • Specialist Consumer Magazine of the Year
  • Consumer Brand of the Year

Nial Ferguson, T3 Publisher, says: “Winning two awards at last night’s PPAs was a great result for T3 and for Future. These two awards are particularly special as they really celebrate areas that we are focusing heavily on. T3 already has a very strong digital and international presence and even though there is a lot still to do, its great for Luke and the T3 the team to get recognised for the work that they have already done.”

Mark Wood, Future Publishing CEO, adds: “To win a PPA award is an achievement for any publisher, to win two is a remarkable triumph. In the case of T3 it is richly deserved. T3 has led the entire global publishing industry in terms of digital product development for the iPad and has become a showcase for Future’s digital skills and innovative energy.”

Future was also represented in the shortlists by Cycling Plus’ Rob Spedding in the Editor of the Year category, and Digital Camera’s Matthew Pierce in the Publisher of the Year category, as well as Mollie Makes – Future’s successful craft lifestyle launch – in the Specialist Consumer Magazine of the Year category.
