03/07/12 Issue 234 of Metal Hammer, the summer 2012 edition, features a unique triple gate-fold cover in association with The Kraken Black Spiced Rum.
The aptly nicknamed ‘gore-fold’ extends to feature further photographs of the issue’s cover stars – the kings of black metal, Watain – while the flipside is taken over by the cult drink.
The format is a first for both Future Music and The Kraken. It’s a prime opportunity for the fast-growing spirit to increase its presence in a music category where it’s already enjoyed success.
The ongoing relationship between Metal Hammer and The Kraken has also extended to the magazine’s ‘Golden Gods’ Awards over the past two years.
