Photography Week has been created specifically for the iPad by the award-winning teams behind Digital Camera, N-Photo and PhotoPlus using Future’s own proprietary software, FutureFolio. FutureFolio is an Apple-approved wrapper for digital products on the Newsstand and enables Photography Week to have levels of interactivity and functionality not yet seen in any weekly photography title.
Matthew Pierce, Group Publisher for Future’s Creative portfolio, says: “With the launch of Photography Week, we’ve created a completely new weekly product, packed with must-have content tailored especially for international photography enthusiasts. Through interactive pages, bespoke video and galleries of the world’s most stunning photography, Photography Week is the perfect fit for Apple’s Newsstand.”
Future is a world leader in tablet publishing, with its current stable of photography magazines already enjoying huge success on Apple’s Newsstand. Digital Camera World is the best-selling digital photography magazine for iPad (Jan-Dec 2011 ABC), and with Canon-only title PhotoPlus, and recent launches N-Photo: The Nikon Magazine and Practical Photoshop, these four magazines’ iPad editions together total more than 1.4 million container app downloads.
