Green Man Gaming, one of the world’s biggest digital game retailers, will, for a second year, be the headline sponsor for the Golden Joystick Awards.
Last year, Green Man Gaming sponsored the awards for the first time, and the hugely successful partnership drove a record breaking 10 million votes across all of its categories. In a year that will see the awards move to a new venue – the indigO2 at The O2 – they will be officially titled Golden Joystick Awards presented by Green Man Gaming, and Green Man Gaming will be putting their name to the evening’s most sought-after accolade, Game of the Year.
In addition, a new Most Played Award has been introduced. Using Green Man Gaming’s consumer game tracking service, Playfire, the winner will simply be the game with the most dedicated fans, calculated by the most playing hours. The winner will be announced on the night.

There will be 16 fiercely contested reader-voted categories, with awards recognising every aspect of the world of gaming with gongs including Best Original Game, Studio of the Year, Best Visual Design and Game of the Year.
