Future plc has relaunched its flagship movie title Total Film.

With the first new-look issue (#247) now on sale, this is the biggest re-design of the title in its 19-year history. With a new tagline, “The Smarter Movie Magazine” and a larger size, the changes reflect the passionate modern film consumer and give a greater depth of coverage to the latest movies.

With some of the UK’s leading movie journalists, Total Film will give a fresh look at the industry. Interviews and reviews are still prominent in the magazine, but the alternate look at films will give the passionate movie fan more insight and knowledge through an array of new sections and features that include;

  • A re-designed news section that brings readers the very latest on new productions and releases, with exclusive first looks at forthcoming films, interviews, film industry insight, trailer breakdowns and more.
  • Exclusive Must-See Movies supplements. An exciting supplement series on the greatest movies ever made. Each deluxe 36-page supplement explores the 100 greatest films by genre, with the first in the series covering Sci-Fi and Fantasy. Readers can build up a reference library of the most acclaimed and unmissable moments in cinema.
  • Total Film Buff. A new movie reference section packed with trivia that promises to give readers all the knowledge they need to become a movie genius.
  • The first new-look issue features a world exclusive on Jason Bourne, the fifth film in the iconic Bourne film series, and Total Film is giving its readers the chance to win a Panasonic 58″ DX902 TV with the hardest movie quiz ever.

Jane Crowther, Editor of Total Film, says, “The redesign of Total Film has been long overdue and now its size and style matches the ambition and scope of the magazine. It’s really exciting to be able to show readers a new size, look and sections and represent even better value for money. We can’t wait to see what everyone thinks of our makeover.”

Paul Newman, Editorial Director of Total Film, says, “Total Film is an iconic brand and has long been loved and respected by movie-goers for being the smartest and sharpest choice in the market. Now with its new-look, larger format and the introduction of our Must-See Movies supplement series it’s the biggest and best-value option in the market too. We hope the new package will work equally well for our readers and our retail and commercial partners.”
