My disc is missing

If the disc is missing from your magazine when you receive it through the post or when purchased in store, please send an email to support@futurenet.com and include your full address, plus the magazine name and issue number.

Videos on the disc do not play correctly

Poor video playback could be due to a number of reasons. The first thing to do is to make sure you have the latest version for your video software. We recommend Quicktime Player or VLC for the best performance.

You may also find videos do not play correctly if you disc drive is not quick enough. In this case, please copy the video files to your hard drive before playing them.

The disc will not read/just spins in the drive

If the disc is to recognised by your computer, please remove the disc and check for any dust, scratches, fingerprints etc. A wipe with a dry cloth can often solve many problems of this type.

I cannot open the disc interface

Firstly, check that you do not have Autorun disabled on your system. If you do, you can access the disc through Computer/My Computer and double click the disc icon. You may then need to double click the interface icon no the disc itself.

If this does not help, please check that you have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player installed on your system.

I am having problems with a Linux install

Linux comes in many different varieties and versions so unfortunately our disc support team are unable to provide technical help for Linux problems. The best way to get information on any Linux issues is to search or post a question in our Linux Format forums.

The software I am installing is asking for a serial number

Some of the free/demo software will require a serial number before use. This will either be on the disc interface, contained in a text file on the disc or printed in the magazine.

Some software will require registration on the manufactures website before you are given a serial number. Instructions for this are included on the disc interface.

I cannot register my software on the manufacturers website

Please check the date of the magazine. Most offers are time limited and we generally only support our discs for 6 months.

My disc is thinner and more flexible than a standard DVD/CD

Some of our magazines use the new EcoDiscs. These are designed to work in all disc drives and use 52% less CO emissions, 50% less polycarbonate and 50% less energy in production.

My Xbox 360 demo disc will not read in my console

Please make sure the disc is totally free from dust, fingerprints and dirt, particularly on the outer edge of the disc. This area contains the copyright and anti-piracy information and if this is not able to be read correctly the disc will not play.

I bought a digital edition of the magazine, can I download the disc?

Currently the digital download editions of the magazines do not come with any of the disc contents unfortunately.
