Future announces significant recruitment to accelerate continued growth

More than 150 new editorial, video and tech roles at all levels created during next three months

Future plc, the global media group and leading digital publisher, today announces a significant recruitment push as it ramps up its growth plans.

And underlining Future’s ambition to support individuals looking to build a successful career in the digital media industry, the first tranche of roles released includes twenty entry-level news writer positions that require no experience.

The drive – the biggest in the organisations history – will see Future create more than 150 new roles over the next three months across a range of editorial positions, the company’s newly formed ‘Future Studios’ video division – which incorporates award winning factual production subsidiary Barcroft – and to support Future’s existing proprietary technology platform.

The majority of the newly created positions will be specialist editorial roles across Future’s brand verticals, which span technology, games & entertainment, music, home & gardens, sports, TV & film, real life, women’s lifestyle, and B2B.

In an update on trading published on 7th September 2020*, Future announced it is continuing to benefit from the trend in a shift to digital media, with organic unique visitors in the UK and US for the month of August up 25% and 40% respectively compared to the prior year**.
