Future has increased newsstand market share in 2022 according to latest ABC data

Digital powerhouse, Future Publishing, has increased its market share on the UK newsstand by 1.2% to 23.2%, according to the latest Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) market share analysis.

Standout 2022 figures include:

  • The Week has seen exceptional growth in UK Newsstand, increasing by 3.7% and outperforming the Current Affairs market in Total Print by 3%.
  • Homes titles have 50.5% of UK newsstand share with three brands outperforming the market: Period Living at 8.6%, Homes & Gardens at 10.4% and Country Homes & Interiors at 10.7%.
  • FourFourTwo has had a fantastic World Cup year with sales up 13% on newsstand and 11% in total print. 
  • What’s on TV once again had the largest single issue sale in the whole market with its Christmas double issue, selling 1,358,192 copies.

In addition, tech brand T3 has seen 1.3% growth over 2022 and women’s lifestyle brand woman&home has grown 1.6%. Heritage brands have also shown strong performances, with Country Life up 1.2% and The Field growing 1%.
