Horse & Hound holds sixth annual awards

Leading equestrian brand Horse & Hound, part of Future plc’s top performing Sports vertical, celebrated the best of the best last week with its annual awards, in partnership with NAF.

The ceremony, which was held in person after being virtual in 2020, is a sign of Future’s continued return to in person events this year following the announcement of their annual results last week, which reported 4% growth for events, digital licensing and other online revenue.

The annual awards is a key event in the equestrian calendar and brings people from across the equestrian world together to celebrate big names and unsung heroes at every level of horse sport.

This year legendary show producer Allister Hood took home the Lifetime Achievement Award following his retirement from the show ring in July this year, after winning his ninth Royal International supreme horse title.

More than 250 people attended the event to honour this year’s winners, who included Olympic individual showjumping gold medallists Ben Maher and Explosion W (Bloomfields Horse of the Year and NAF Five Star Magic Moment of the Year), Tokyo eventing team gold and individual silver medallist Tom McEwen (Uvex Helmets Professional Rider of the Year) and Ruby Hughes, a rising star in the dressage world who took the Tommy Hilfiger Equestrian Young Rider of the Year title.
