Promoting Battlefield 1 through engaging social media tutorials
To increase awareness of the release of EA’s Battlefield 1 among loyal gaming audiences.Back
Building upon our previous experience with the Battlefield franchise, we developed a video series designed to inform and excite new and existing Battlefield gamers among our highly engaged gaming community. Social media channels, the site of most visible gaming interaction, were used to promote the series both organically and through paid promotion formats.
Our content team created a five-part Facebook video series, ‘How to Battlefield,’ including tutorials on ‘How To Be A Sniper’ and ‘How To Fly A Plane.’ These were initially distributed across our gaming Facebook channels: GamesRadar+, Official Xbox, Official PlayStation and PC Gamer. Due to its success Electronic Arts, publisher of the game, asked us to extend the series to our entertainment and tech channels (Total Film, T3 and TechRadar).
